Held on 24 September in Manchester at the Innovation Suite, Core Technology Facility, the Silverstripe Hack Day kicked off the 2025 StripeCon conference with a full day devoted to collaboration, innovation, and community-driven development. Sponsored by Silverstripe Ltd, the event brought together developers of all experience levels to work on open-source projects, propose and build new modules, and collaborate on community-voted enhancements.
A key feature of the day was the “Hackday Pitches” session at 10:00, where participants presented the ideas or issues they intended to work on, inviting contributions or help from fellow attendees.
The Silverstripe core team was present via video links, offering guidance and support, helping to ensure that contributions could meaningfully impact the platform.
Attendees were encouraged to bring their own ideas or pick from existing tasks, and a spirit of learning and knowledge sharing permeated the day, from debugging and development to new feature work.
Check again soon for updates from the day, and insights into the featured projects.
